Sending Messages

To send messages, press Shift + Enter (or Ctrl+Enter) to open up the message box. You can then type out your message by pressing TAB until you reach the end of the line. Press ENTER when you’re done typing.

Creating Groups

If you’d rather not use the default chat window, you can create your own group. Click on the “Create Group” button at the top right corner of the screen. Then enter a name for your group and click “Save” Now anyone who joins your group will see the group’s name instead of yours.

Using Voice Chat

You can also use voice chat in Discord. To do this, click on the microphone icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. This will open up a menu where you can choose between using text chat or voice chat.

Inviting Friends

If you’d like to invite a friend to join your Discord server, simply type “/invite <username>” into the chat window.

Joining Groups

You can also use the /join command to add a user to a group. To do this, type “/join #<groupname>”.
